Admin holds ToFI consultation; SG objects to move, states reasons

In accordance to Republic Act 7722, the Higher Education Act of 1994, a Tuition Fee Increase Consultation was held at the Burgos Conference Room last February 26 between the SLU administration and the Supreme Student Council from 9 a.m. onwards in the hope of achieving a compromise regarding the matter. 

 
CON La Union Annex opens SY 08-09

In an effort to accommodate its growing nursing applicants, Saint Louis University is now building a nursing annex on Saint Louis College, a CICM school in La Union. The extension is now in the middle of construction and is expected to start operating in June of 2008. 

 
CICS Pioneers Digital Arts Program

Dedicated in honing the skills of budding digital artists and enthusiasts, the College of Information and Computing Sciences opened the Digital Arts Program which is set to start in January 2008.

Digital Arts Program is divided into eight tracks namely: Digital Arts Foundation Track, Computer Layout and Design Track, Digital Illustration Major in Vector Graphics Track, Digital Illustration Major in Pixel and Photo Editing, Web Design Track, Web Animation Track, Video Production Track, and Digital Animation Track.

 
Con adapts Multi Level Faculty System

At the end of the first semester, Mrs. Elisa Ferrer, the Level I and II Department Head of the College of Nursing mentioned in an evaluation of a faculty member that the faculty members shall no longer has to stick to one year level while teaching in the university.

 
"The Water is Potable" - Med Clinic

Issues have been raised by students and the Medical Clinic regarding the “Unsafe Water in Drinking Fountains” article on the October 2007 issue of White & Blue. The story claims that the drinking fountains are at risk of housing a harmful bacterium called Escherichia coli. Some students have become hesitant in drinking from the fountains since the release of the publication. The Medical Clinic however took their stand in clarifying the issue, as they are in charge of monitoring the drinking fountains.
