Louisians are definitely becoming apathetic. Over the years, less and less students are interested in involving themselves during the Supreme Student Council elections. Much politicking and controversies have stifled the voting population’s eagerness. People have withdrawn their trust in casting their votes because no candidate seems to be sincere and deserving.

Honeyed words and empty promises are not yet effective enough to gain the Lousians’ trust and interest. This must have been the stigma created by the never ending conflicts of the two political parties running against each other.

Only bout one forth of the 24,000 plus students chose to take part in this year’s elections- a rather disappointing voters’ turn out.

For those 6,939 Lousians who voted, they believe they have placed their votes in good hands and that they have done their part in trying to evoke change in the system.

Will the Louisians’ apathetic attitude ever change? A realization must transpire that no visible transformation can happen if people only choose to watch from the side lines! It’s about time everyone cares.

i know the reason for this, student councils became pro administration, during our time you can smoke everywhere inside the campus, until they supported to ban smoking instead of putting designated areas, wheres the fucking student spirit?!
